I Need to Stop Procrastinating
I used to have a lot more to say.
But now my words are like messages, tucked away into glass bottles and thrown into an ocean of “supposed to do”s and “I’ll get to it later”s.
Sometimes after a long and hazy day I’ll try fish for them.
Sit down, and cast a line into the depths of yesterdays ideas -
But I never seem to catch anything.
I reel in the soles of missing shoes and crushed soda cans; then I quit before anything alive comes to surface because tomorrow sounds easier.
And the weather's meant to be better - this weekend.
